Executive summary

In August, just over 9 in 10 generations observed on QR Plus led to three familiar digital destinations: a web page, a Pix payment or a WhatsApp conversation.

URL led the period at 46.1%. Static Pix represented 29.4%, while WhatsApp accounted for 15.3%. Together, the three types concentrated 90.8% of the generations analyzed.

The results portray activity recorded on the QR Plus platform during August 2026 and should be interpreted within this proprietary universe.

Three actions concentrated the month’s generations

The distance between categories shows a clear lead for URL, followed by static Pix and WhatsApp. The chart compares each type’s share of the same set of eligible events.

Combined share 90.8% of URL, static Pix and WhatsApp in observed generations

Shares are shown to one decimal place and may not add up to exactly 100% because of rounding and the other categories available on the platform.

A note about the Menu category: it counts only the dedicated format. Restaurants and snack bars can also publish menus through URL and PDF QR Codes, so this count does not represent all food-service use on the platform.

URL · 46.1%

Nearly half of all generations led to web pages, keeping URL as the most frequent destination during the period.

Static Pix · 29.4%

Close to three in ten generations prepared a QR Code for a Pix payment.

WhatsApp · 15.3%

The messaging app completed the leading trio, accounting for roughly one in six observed generations.

Generation activity followed the working week

Average daily generations on weekdays were 2.5 times the average observed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Across August’s 21 weekdays there were 36,826 generations, averaging 1,753.6 per day. Across ten weekend days there were 7,009, a daily average of 700.9. The average was 60.0% lower on weekends.

The calculation compares daily averages to account for the different number of weekdays and weekend days. Future editions will show whether the pattern holds over time.

QR Codes emerge as a bridge to immediate actions

The concentration in URL, Pix and WhatsApp suggests that QR Codes were used mainly to shorten the path between an intention and a digital action.

Within the observed scope, opening content, starting a payment and beginning a conversation form a core of simple, direct uses. The distribution precisely identifies which destinations were most present on the platform during the month.

How the data was prepared

Observed population

Eligible generation events observed on the QR Plus platform during the period.

Numerator

Events assigned to the canonical URL, static Pix or WhatsApp type. The three numerators are added for the main finding.

Denominator

All eligible, successfully completed generation events in the reconciled monthly closing.

Time window

From 12:00 a.m. on August 1 through 11:59:59 p.m. on August 31, 2026, covering 31 of 31 days.

The monthly closing consolidates successfully completed root generations in the public tools and QR Codes created in the PRO area. Later customizations do not count as new generations. Reconciliation uses the operation or QR Code identifier according to the channel, and the distribution groups records by canonical type.

Quality and traceability

Published figures come from a monthly closing validated and preserved before this note was written. In total, the QR Plus ecosystem recorded 837,918 events during the period.

  • Complete coverage: 31 of 31 days in the month.
  • Event, operation and aggregate counts were reconciled by the QR Plus Index validation process.
  • Closing completed on September 3, 2026, with its analytical archive preserved.

What each unit means

Generation event
A successfully completed root operation or a QR Code created in the PRO area. It is not a person, impression or scan.
Resolution attempt
A request to resolve the destination of a dynamic QR Code. It is a later step and is not part of this generation analysis.
Valid resolution
An attempt that meets the functional resolution rules. It remains different from a person or a qualified scan.
Qualified scan
A resolution filtered using versioned bot, preview and scanner rules. This metric is not used in this note.
Person
Not inferred from events. One person may generate more than one QR Code, and an event does not identify an individual.

Privacy and aggregation

The analysis uses only aggregated counts and technical categories. The Radar layer neither stores nor publishes payloads, destination URLs, Pix keys, Wi-Fi passwords, contacts, files, images, logos, decoded content, raw IP addresses or complete user agents. No account, client or user is identified.

How to interpret the figures

  • Events measure operations, not unique people, businesses, impressions, QR Codes in circulation or later scans.
  • Shares are published to one decimal place; sums may show small rounding differences.

What to watch in the next editions

Future monthly notes will show whether this concentration holds and how each type’s share changes over time. After six complete, comparable months, the QR Plus Radar can bring the series together in a consolidated report.
